The Story
Over 6 years ago Captain John Daniels was presumed dead by SPECON command when his team went missing during a mission.
The mission was in Africa, tasked to investigate reports of genocide and the apparent connection with an occult artefact believed to have been discovered in a diamond mine.
Years later a man matching the description of John Daniels appeared in connection with several ongoing Criminal investigations across Africa.
Furthermore it appeared he was now the leader of a cult operating out of the Jungle and calling himself Drake Daniels.
This cult was made up from hundreds of people of mixed nationalities, mainly ex-military personnel and all extremely loyal to Daniels.
Daniels was indeed alive and in possession of an arcane device. A device he had acquired this during the original mission to the diamond mine where his squad went missing.
This device of unknown origin appeared to be able to regenerate any wounds of whoever wore it, and even bring them back to life should they be killed.
The device also had another function, the user had the ability to control the minds of the living.
It was this device that had enabled Daniels to survive several mortal wounds, and build his cult of followers with ease (These agents were later responsible for the attack on the plane).
From research done on his now undead form, Daniels had captured scientists create the chemical gas known as Trioxin.
Trioxin created from his blood, was able to artificially simulate the reanimation process of the recently dead. Although unlike Daniels the subjects turn in to flash hungry, mindless and infected zombies.
Daniels was eventually defeated by SPECON, Agents spraying him with a Molecular Acid that burnt him to little more than a skeleton.
Although still alive, without the amulet (now in SPECON hands) the healing process would be slowed considerably and with complications and mutations.
With the amulet gone, Daniels is unable to regulate the mutations of his body as it tries to heal his necrotic flesh.
With a dwindling army numbering under 100 men and hideously disfigured he has been in hiding ever since.
Recently however intelligence reports obtained through hacked encrypted SPECON intelligence files may have provided an answer to all his problems.
Unconfirmed reports from peasant farmers along the Chinese / Usrekistahn boarder, speak of a Cult of apparently demonic soldiers who are led by a renegade General.
The Officer who had both super human strength and healing, also had, according to the legend, the ability to control and possess the minds of his men…
He had stolen artefacts from the Usrekistahn military and had fled across the border to avoid detection by the pursuing army.
China and Russia is currently in a state of cold war with most of the western countries that support SPECON or its allies, and as such there is closed boarder between the two counties, making it illegal for Usrekistahn troops to enter China.
Drake Daniels however has none of those political restrictions and has a small fortune made from blood diamonds taken from Africa to finance such an expedition.
