H.I.V.E (Humane intelligent viral engineering) is one of the most powerful companies on Earth.

termed as a mega-corporation: having subdivisions in almost every business imaginable, and even having its own organized paramilitary force to safe guard its assets.

The H.I.V.E corporation is also one of the world’s leading biotechnology conglomerates.

With operations around the globe, H.I.V.E has created many life-altering pharmaceutical products.

However there is a darker side to the corporation… repeated accusations of human right violations in 3rd world countries, dumping of hazardous materials illegally and multiple unproven cases of corporate espionage surrounds them.

Recently they were covertly testing an experimental virus and corresponding vaccine in a small mountain town in Eastern Europe, the situation deteriorated rapidly as the vaccine proved to have disastrous side effects on the local populace.

The area has been quarantined by military and local law enforcement, who currently believe it to be a natural outbreak.

However, the underground lab the virus was produced in is hidden in the surrounding forests and has yet to be discovered by the authorities.

Time is critical to avoid it being uncovered.

If all evidence can be removed, then H.I.V.E’s involvement will be wiped, and its hands will be clean (at least publicly), plus the data recorded and collected post outbreak will still have extreme value to the bioweapons black market.

A strike team is to be deployed to breach the military quarantine, recover all data and destroy the lab site completely.

Clearance for a level Alpha 1 explosive device has been authorised, its yield should wipe out the lab and any infected civilians or military personnel within the quarantine area and several miles beyond.

The detonation can be blamed on a nuclear power plant that is located within the blast area of the device, once samples are recovered the site should be completely cleansed by the explosion.

Unfortunately, intelligence reports indicate a rival corporation may also be intending on trying to access the site to remove the data for themselves.

How they have learnt of the labs location or H.I.V.E’s involvement is unclear and extremely worrying.

Should the strike team encounter rivel corporate operatives in the mission area, then those hostile forces should be terminated on sight…
