Mini Apocalypse – Road to Frontier

(a regular airsoft skirmish day BUT set in the Frontier Apocalypse RPG Universe – due to Covid-19 restrictions we had to postpone the main apocalypse game till next year, So we decided to write this skirmish day as a prologue to 2021’s event – while we can’t do a lot of the close contact role play we would normally do on these games we can give people a chance to try out costumes and gear and basically get in one post-apocalyptic game this year – )

What to Expect?

– a normal day of airsoft but with games themed around one team playing a bandit army, and the other playing a desperate group of survivors trying to reach Frontier Town and safety from the wasteland

But I don’t have a costume! – Ok no problem,

ideally, you’ll wear some civilian clothing to set the mood for this game day (jeans and jacket is fine – think what the characters in the walking dead/the last of us wear, it’s basically modern-day clothing, tactical holsters and webbing are fine anyway even if dressing in civilian clothing)

BUT if your super attached to your army clothing and want to ware that, this is also 100% FINE and no one will have a problem with you doing so

STORY:

The survivors of the attack knew they had only one hope…. But that came with its own dangers.

There settlement had been attacked during the night, the raiders numbers vastly superior to that of the small scavenging outpost.

They were brutal in their attack, killing indiscriminately, taking the wounded as prisoners, there screams haunting in the darkness as they were dragged away into the black.

Since the larger Mining Settlement of Frontier Town declared its independence and the Federation of Fallum troops left the area, the Bandit Raiders have been busy….

Under the new leadership of Caesar (the most violent and cunning of all the bandits) an alliance has been forged between the war bands.

Without the military patrols this new threat has gone unchecked.

Settlements in the wastelands past the military boarders of the Federation are falling to raiders daily.

Trade routes have been cut off completely, as the once safe roads are now blockaded by the Bandits.

The Outpost was left in flames, those fortunate enough to escape the attack fled to a meeting point in the wastelands with what little they could carry.

This far out from the Federation Boarders the chance of making it back to civilisation would be impossible, there only hope is to try and avoid the bandit patrols and make their way to Frontier Town.

The Town is heavily fortified and inhabited by Miners (some of the most hardened fighters in the wasteland) and protected the Regulators (the Towns own police force of armed guards, a private army in all but name), if they can reach the Town, the survivors would be safe.

Frontier Town would offer them permanent refuge and a chance of a new start.

The plan was agreed, what few guns and ammo could be saved were given to those best trained to use them.

They survivors began their journey….. on the road to Frontier
