The Story

Dr Montana Jones, freelance archaeologist, treasure hunter and notorious black market dealer in illegal relics, sat back on the deck of the large ship known as the Forgotten Treasure holding a large case and watching the horizon.

The sun would not be up fully for several hours, more than enough time to dock undetected and make their way ashore.

As the ship neared its destination, below deck a team of hired mercenaries and other cut throats loaded guns and donned camouflage clothing.

He had been docked on a small island off the coast of Japan, this island over looked another larger and far more sinister island, and soon him and the rest of his gang would arrive there…

This privately owned island is the base of operations for the Yakuza boss Gokudō

The island is used to manufacture methamphetamine to be smuggled into other countries and as a staging base for smuggling firearms back into Japan

Gokudō and his crime syndicate adopt samurai-like rituals and often bear elaborate body tattoos. They engage in extortion, blackmail, smuggling, and human trafficking as well as drug trafficking and arms dealing.

Recently Gokud’o’s gang robbed a Museum in Shinjuku where they took several priceless relics.

Among the items stolen were the sword and burial ashes of a legendary Samurai Warrior Takeda Kenshin, recently discovered by archaeologists.

Takeda Kenshin was said to have been unstoppable, his armour and sword a gift from the gods and unable to be pierced by any blade

Legend says that whoever returned his sword to his to his armour would awaken Takeda from the dead making him immortal once again… and in return he would be honour bound to serve those that resurrected him forever.

Easier said than done, the armour was stolen by Chinese raiders several hundred years when Takeda was betrayed and killed by his own brother… bribed by the Chinese invaders his brother Lo-Pan persuaded Takeda to revoke his helmet in order to speak to him, he was then shot with an arrow from a hidden archer.

In his dying moments, Takeda threw the sword from a cliff edge and uttered the promise to get his revenge in the next life…

Lo-Pan fled to china with the armour and a king’s ransom in gold and disappeared into obscurity.

What Montana has discovered is that Yakuza boss Gokudō already has most of the armour, all except the helmet.

Montana patted the box on his lap, it was going to be an interesting day…
