The Story
General Saiem, (The former ruler of Usrekistahn.)
Now a wanted man, facing international charges of war crimes, forced to flee his home Country of Usrekistahn and go into hiding several years ago.
His former Assistant, Minister Oleg Demetrius, has become President after leading a coup against Saiem with aide from the capitalist west that lead to his exile.
However, during the evacuation of the Palace, the General took with him a vast fortune in antiquities and gold from his homeland.
This wealth has allowed him to fund the continuation of his now rebel army.
His beloved Karakurt Shock Troops still fight a terrorist war in Usrekistahn to this day.
The Karakurt, known as the “Brown Bears”, were the Usrekistahn Special Forces during Salem’s rule. Left behind, hiding the mountainous regions on the border of Usrekistahn, they are tasked to launch guerrilla warfare against the current Government.
Brutal and highly trained fighters, The Brown Bears have proven themselves in countless conflicts over the last 10 years.
They continue the fight on Usrekistahn soil until Saiem can return and lead them to reclaim the homeland.
Increasing raids on Government buildings across the border by the insurgents has been a violent and bloody affair during this time.
The attackers always striking fast, killing as many people as possible before vanishing back to the mountains.
Their targets are indiscriminate, attacking both civilians and state assets.
Often biological weapons are deployed against civilian targets.
In recent months the infamous “revenant” technology created by Saiem’s scientists has been used.
This technology (not used since the fall of Usrekistahn) reanimated the corpses of fallen comrades to use as weapons against the living (often with disastrous results).
If such dangerous technology is beginning to resurface, then the Brown Bears must be getting desperately low on supplies.
President Oleg has sent many task forces into the mountains trying to track down and locate the Shock troops.
Unfortunately the camps and underground tunnels the Karakurt call home, often lay over the border into hostile Chinese territory where Oleg’s men cannot pursue.
The Chinese Government are currently in political conflict with the UN and the American based military force SPECON who serve as global peace keepers.
Chinese President Xi Zedong has refused to cooperate with an organization that has a bias leaning to the Americans.
He has denied entry into China’s boarders by any military or Government that are allies of SPECON.
Fortunately, an opportunity has arisen, the Karakurt are preparing for re-arming, and recent intelligence has suggested that a large amount of gold is being moved internationally with the intention of paying arms dealers to re outfit the now depleted stockpiles of the Shock Troopers.
The deal is set to go down in neighbouring Kazakhstan (most arms dealers are unable to breach the self-enforced quarantine the country has now put itself under).
Kazakhstan is neutral to both China and Usrekistahn, it would not support a military action but allows free travel over its boarders to both sides, and President Oleg can only risk sending a small force of troops unofficially without risking an International incident should they be uncovered.
SPECON intelligence are currently tracking the gold shipment and also have received a tip off of the port that the cargo delivered at.
They plan to use satellite and drone surveillance to follow it to the meeting point in the Kazakhstan forests.
Once at the meeting point, the Usrekistahn soldiers will ambush the Karakurt Shock troopers and capture the gold that was to be the payment, thus delivering two devastating blows to the Rebels.
